'MY POINT OF DECISION'

"The spiritual reality is the scientific fact in all things," Mary Baker Eddy wrote in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures (p. 207). Sometimes the human mind is absolutely sure that what it sees and hears and feels is fact. Yet, through my study and practice of Christian Science, I've learned that those senses don't tell the true story. Instead, it's our spiritual senses that show us what is true. They report everything from God's perspective. They show us what He has created and how He is perfectly governing and caring for all.

Recently, I had an experience requiring of me the humility to mentally stand with the spiritual reality of a situation — God's truth — in the face of opposing physical evidence. And healing came.

I got out of my car in a parking lot and was immediately down on the ground, draped over one of those concrete blocks that mark parking spaces. I was very surprised to find that I must have tripped over one block and landed ribs-to-the-concrete on another. There was specific pain in my rib area, and my whole body felt shaken.
