We're all on an adventure

This issue promises some adventuring. A family trekking the entire 3,100-mile US Continental Divide; two brothers climbing in the Himalayas; a Christian Science practitioner following her prayerful inspiration to move to a foreign country.

These aren't journeys any one of us might make in a lifetime, and yet each story shares a common theme many readers might identify with: Life is about growing closer to our Creator and experiencing healing — and yes, adventure — as a result.

Early on in my serious study of Christian Science, someone I looked up to told me, "As Christian Scientists, we should have the most exciting lives." Not boring and predictable, but full of energy, vibrancy, and pure joy for living. That's Life. And it sounded good to me as a recent college-grad. But my friend's words have taken on new meaning over the years. I've come to realize that in the climb of discovering grander views of the Science of the Christ, there's always another angle to seeing the infinite Spirit and Her creation — and that's what makes life exciting!
