Bible Stories THAT HELPED US PRAY

In Sunday School, we're learning to get closer to God and to pray for ourselves. We want to become better healers. These are some of our favorite stories and passages from the Bible that we've used to pray.

I like the 23rd Psalm, especially this verse: "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me" (verse 4). This is meaningful to me because it tells me that I don't have to be stuck in something bad, like sickness or death. Instead I can "walk through" it. I can do this by praying and paying attention to my perfection that comes from God.

One time when I went to summer camp, I had a cough. I remembered this verse, and I thought I should just walk through sickness because God did not make me sick. He created everyone very good. I prayed to only pay attention to my perfect self that God made. I was healed very quickly, and I went back to my activities.
