Bye-bye jealousy!
I've been in several musicals. But this was my first year at middle school, and it was my first time trying out for a school musical. The musical was Aladdin Jr., and I was very excited to try out. I was hoping to get the lead role of Jasmine.
Before every audition, I say a prayer to God. I thank Him for my singing voice and for all the good He gives me. And I ask Him to help me not be afraid of going up on stage to sing.
So on the day of the audition I slowly walked to the stage praying, and then I did the best I could. Afterward, I waited for my mom to pick me up. As I was waiting, people were coming up to me and saying how good I was at singing and how well I performed my song. So that's what got me thinking that I was definitely going to get the part of Jasmine.
