TRACKING SPIRITUAL GAINS
Growing to know God is one of life's great joys. It's good to step back and take stock once in a while, acknowledging how you've progressed as a result of your spiritual study and prayers. "There is a special joy in knowing that one is gaining constantly in the knowledge of Truth and divine Love," wrote Mary Baker Eddy (Miscellaneous Writings 1883–1896, p. 160). I love to keep a journal and record specifically how I'm thinking differently from day to day. I find some good questions to ask myself are ones like these:
• How has your thinking changed?
• How has your perspective improved?
