HAIR LOSS REVERSED

About three years ago, I started to notice that my hair was becoming thinner, and my brush would hold more than the normal amount of hair each time I brushed. I also wasn't seeing any new growth coming in as it usually did.

Somewhat concerned, I thought about looking for a wig that a friend had given me several years before. She'd bought it for herself, but decided she didn't like it, and thought I might have fun with it. Immediately on the heels of this, however, I realized I could turn my efforts in a more spiritual direction, and I started to pray instead. I reasoned something like this: God supplies all the needs of His children in the form of right ideas. Our hair is the evidence of a right idea, an element of our completeness. And what He gives us is for keeps—and is appropriate for our individual needs.

I remembered what Science and Health said about Mary Magdalene when she washed Jesus' feet and wiped them with the hairs of her head—"all those hairs numbered by the Father" (p. 367). I thought of what a wonderful honor it was for anyone to wash the feet of the Master. How I would have loved that privilege, too, and with all my hairs being numbered by the Father.
