Where science and religion come together for good

When Mary Baker Eddy realized that Jesus' method of healing was still practical, she wanted to share her discovery with the world.

She'd been in awe of Jesus' stories since childhood, yearning to consistently feel the love he so naturally expressed. Then as an adult in the 1860s, after she'd proved for herself that his healings resulted from reliable, provable laws of God, she named these laws Christian Science. This Science of the Christ rests on the premise that life's origins are entirely spiritual and that an understanding of this brings healing.

Yet despite Mrs. Eddy's articulate explanations of her discovery in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, and the many healings she and others performed, many people rejected the idea that religion and science could be one.
