TAKING A STAND
WHEN I WAS IN MY 20s, I was diagnosed with a rare lung disease. For a period of three years, I sought medical treatment for this condition, but I still struggled with it.
Finally, a specialist doctor said there was no more he could do for me. Around this time, a friend introduced me to Christian Science, and I was completely healed. This launched me on a progressive path of relying completely on Christian Science for my health and well-being.
There was an area in my life, though, that presented a conflict with my choice for spiritual healthcare. When I began studying Christian Science, I was working as a marketing strategist in the healthcare industry, actively promoting medical and pharmaceutical companies. This role included the expectation that I would steep myself in medical information.
