'A HEALING SCIENCE I CAN ALWAYS RELY ON ...'

Last year, I spent some time in North Africa traveling with old friends and meeting new ones, taking photographs, and expanding my global understanding.

One day, I'd traveled to a Moroccan city with some friends, and, while on a long walk, I began to feel slightly uncomfortable. At first, I ignored the feeling, but it persisted. By nightfall I found myself shivering despite the mild temperature. I stopped at an Internet cafe on the way back to my hotel room to check my e-mail, and while I was there, the shivering intensified.

I knew that I could find freedom by praying to understand that God, the source of my health and strength, was right there caring for me. So I began to surf on The Christian Science Publishing Society's website spirituality.com, in search of some spiritual insight. I came across an article that focused on the significance of Christian Science. The main idea that stood out to me is encapsulated in this quote by Mary Baker Eddy: "The two largest words in the vocabulary of thought are 'Christian' and 'Science.' The former is the highest style of man; the latter reveals and interprets God and man; it aggregates, amplifies, unfolds, and expresses the All-God" (No and Yes, p. 10).
