My special 'stones'

My name is Mendy and I'm 8 years old. My parents have taken me to Sunday School since I was in kindergarten. And I want to tell you about what I'm learning there.

I like the Bible story of David and Goliath because David defeated a giant with the help of God. We can defend ourselves against bad things like David did. But we wouldn't use slingshot with real stones like he did. My Sunday School teacher taught us that our "stones" are spiritual thoughts. For example. do you know that God is good? God is all-powerful. God guides you and guards you. God governs all. Thinking of this reminds me that I'm always cared for and protected by our good God.

One of the names for God that I learned about is Mind. I like to think about how God is my Mind and I reflect God's intelligence. This helped me in school one day when I had to take an important test. I kept thinking that I was intelligent because God is intelligent, and that He was guiding me.

I got a high score on the test. I'm very grateful to God.
