SHOULDER INJURY QUICKLY HEALED

One rainy night a few years ago, I was walking in my driveway with my son, when I slipped on the muddy ground and fell.

My first thought was: There are no accidents in God. I was in quite a bit of pain, and my son was looking fearful. So to calm him, I said, "Uh oh! Did anyone see me take that dive?" He laughed then and started to help me up. My next thoughts were of a favorite statement from the Apostle Paul in the Bible: "For in him we live, and move, and have our being" (Acts 17:28).

As my son helped me stand, I couldn't bear to have him touch my right shoulder because of the pain. We went back into the house together, and I found that I couldn't move my right arm more than to wiggle my fingers a little bit. My son was alarmed by the appearance of my arm, which wasn't hanging normally, and he urged me to go to the emergency room at the hospital. I thanked him for his loving concern, but instead decided to call a Christian Science practitioner for help through prayer.
