SPORTS HALL OF GOOD FAME

CAN YOU IMAGINE a sports hall of fame where athletes are recognixed less for homeruns, baskets, or touchdowns, than they are for good deeds? Where unselfishness and courage (even in defeat) matter more than points on the board?

There is such a place in Boise, Idaho. It's called World Sports Humanitarian Hall of Fame, and it's catching the attention of those American sports fans who feel they need a break from brawls on basketball courts and hockey rinks.

Most sports enthusiasts cannot resist comparing their current favorites with illustrious figures in the game. They like to grade them historically and invent categories for them—Top Ten, Best of All Time, whatever. They aren't satisfied till someone (male or female) has received a Most Valuable Player trophy. And soon they're talking about induction into a hall of fame.
