Remembering FATHER'S DAY
Father's Day makes me think of the way I gained a larger understanding of God as my Father.
My dad always expressed wonderful fathering qualities. As a lawyer, he was respected by his family and the community, and his principled example held us kids to a high standard. Always patient, helpful, and strong, he provided just the support and guidance we needed.
For example, at one point during high school, I was having trouble with my studies, and some of my teachers thought I was such a poor student that I would do well to graduate. My dad (and my mom) didn't accept this prediction and prayed to help me see that my intelligence comes from God.
