I PRAYED UNTIL I FELT AT PEACE
Last year, just hours before traveling by plane for two weeks of job training, I was involved in a road accident while driving a mate's car. It was my fault, and both the car I was driving and the one I hit were damaged. Although I did fly that day, I faced much stress during my training.
A friend who is a Christian Scientist played a vital role in my recovering my peace of mind. Immediately after I hit the other car, my Christian Scientist friend came to give me a lift to the airport.
Excitedly I explained my concern. But he seemed not to realize the seriousness of the situation or to understand what I was telling him. Instead, he quietly requested me to bring my suitcase to his car. On the way, I started talking again about how sorry I was for damaging both cars. My world seemed to collapse around me.
