Our purpose: healing

Diane Marrapodi,  a Christian Science practitioner and teacher, has devoted her life to the practical application of God's healing laws. She has been in the public practice of Christian Science for over 25 years. Prior to that, she worked as a Christian Science nurse. Recently, staff editor Ingrid Peschke spoke with Diane from her home in Forest Hill, Maryland.

In a letter to her students titled, "Pond and Purpose" Mary Baker Eddy referred to the spirit of her life-purpose as: "... to impress humanity with the genuine recognition of practical, operative Christian Science" (Miscellaneous Writings 1883-1896, p.207). What do you think this means for students of Christian Science today?

Mary Baker Eddy recognized the healing impact of understanding her own relationship with God. She proved the scientific laws of Life, and saw that these rules could be applied by anyone—with absolute certainty.
