A SAFE AND HARMONIOUS PREGNANCY

The news of our third baby came as a surprise. Of course, we were delighted by the idea of having another child to love, but the timing didn't seem ideal. We were still in the planning stages of building a new home, and this, coupled with the pregnancy, was initially very upsetting to me.

Prayer had been an integral part of my earlier two pregnancies, both of which had resulted in home births that had been natural and healthy. So when I found out I was expecting again, prayer was immediately where I turned. I called a Christian Science practitioner to pray with me during this time, and my husband, too, joined in this spiritual preparation for the baby.

One of the first things I needed to deal with was my fear about our housing situation, and I prayed as never before to see that because this child's real parent was God, our Father and Mother, he was already being supplied with everything he needed. That direct relationship was his source of everything good, everything necessary for his growth and wellbeing.
