The right choice for me
A December Saturday. Flyers distributed, chairs set up, sing-along sheets printed. We even had a keyboard. Everything was set for our Christian Science Reading Room's gift to the community: a telling of the Nativity story, followed by a carol sing.
But I'd woken that morning with a tight throat and a headache, feeling like the cold-train was running full tilt over my joy to be part of this sharing. I was the storyteller—and all I wanted to do stay in bed!
Prayer alone is my remedy of choice. But I had another choice to make as well. I could go forward in spite of the cold, hoping my voice would be normal, and pray to just get through it. Or I could accept God's immediate, full-tilt care!
