QUICK RECOVERY AFTER A BAD FALL

"Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy" (Ps. 16:11). I realized the truth of this beautiful promise during an experience I had toward the end of last year.

One morning, after a night of heavy thunderstorms and rain, I was overseeing some workers who periodically come to refill the butane gas tank on the roof of my condominium. I tried to finish as quickly as possible in order to return to work upstairs in my home office.

As I made my way back through the entrance gate of the condominium, I slipped and fell forward on the ground, hitting my forehead forcefully on the muddy rough stone path. I immediately stood up and walked toward my apartment, firmly declaring out loud "the scientific statement of being from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy which says we are wholly spiritual (see p. 468). This is the way I have learned to identity myself. I also affirmed God's omnipresence. I've learned that recourse to God is an infallible aid in any situation.
