LETTERS

My husband and I wish to express our gratitude for the many times that we have picked up a Sentinel and found an article or a testimony that seemed to directly address some of the issues we were dealing with at that time.

The June 13 issue ["walking the talk"] was especially meaningful. It was the last Sentinel that came in the mail before we left for an extended road trip. Our first destination was Boston, to attend the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church. On June 6, we received notice that my husband's father had passed on. Karen VanNort's article, "When loss is gain—A tribute to my dad," was timely, fitting, and comforting.

We also found the testimony by Rosemary Lubbe to be helpful, "Prayer and perseverance," about a problem she was having with a tooth. My husband was subsequently healed of what appeared to be an abscessed tooth after I read him this testimony. This allowed us to continue freely on our trip, for which we were very grateful.
