Many of the statements in Science and Health about God and life shocked me because I had never heard anything like them before.

A BOOK, A CHURCH AND A LIFE CHANGED FOREVER

My life changed when I became a student of Christian Science. Before I knew anything about it, I was happily married, the father of three daughters, and the owner of a successful shoe business. I was quite contented with my life.

Then, suddenly, I began to experience health problems: severe and frequent migraine headaches and an abnormal, rapid heartbeat. Bouts with these conditions occurred often. I was able to tolerate the migraines with pills, but the heart condition so sapped my energy and strength that I was unable to function in my shoe business. Doctors and heart specialists were unable to cure me.

Finally, my wife and I decided to sell our business in New Jersey, where we lived, and move to the West Coast, hopeful that a complete change of scenery might be just what I needed.
