LETTERS

The October 10 issue ["Breaking through discouragement"] has been so incredibly helpful for me. The entire issue held insightful ideas and supportive suggestions for my prayers. For this, and all the Sentinel does for humanity, I would like to thank you.

In particular, the three articles on breaking through discouragement were just incredible. My thanks to Paul Grimes especially, as the ideas in his article, "Think about Daniel," were clear, meaningful, powerful, encouraging—the exact ideas I needed in a time of frustration. For me, Daniel, whom Mr. Grimes discussed is second only to Jesus in terms of the meaning I've derived from his experiences, and I always love hearing new insights into those stories.

This article addressed exactly how I was feeling when bogged down trying to heal a physical ailment. After reading the article, I found that it stuck with me all week, helping to send me on new, spiritually enriching paths in prayer—paths of a completely new understanding of myself as an idea of God, revealed more and more each day. There's just nothing quite like the peaceful sense God brings as we align our thoughts to Him.
