SOWING THE SEEDS

I can't begin to tell of all the wonderful things that happened along the way. For example, picture a fast-food restaurant with all the tables filled and a long line of people waiting to place their orders—plus copies of Science and Health on nearly every table.

Or consider another scene, where five teenagers came to our table after a swim at the YMCA. When we explained that the book had a Key to the Scriptures, they all took a copy, and one boy took an extra one for his buddy. In another case, a church elder took three boxes of books to pass out to members. A woman took two boxes of Science and Health in Spanish to pass out to the congregation of her Spanish-speaking church. A school teacher told how her department had discussed the hurricane and decided they needed to start a spirituality group to aid recovery. She took multiple copies of Science and Health to share with her group.

One man went home and made several calls to groups in his community who were helping evacuees. After determining that they would like to have copies of Science and Health, he distributed over 400 copies to his Bible study group. Others who took copies included a stress counseling group, an insurance agent who shared copies of inspirational books with her clients, and many others.
