letters

I often think of my desire to express my gratitude for the Letters page. The widespread enthusiasm for your magazine,or shall we say the depth of reading that goes on,is evident.I enjoy hearing about the uses people are making of the Senitel I am inclined to go back and reread an article in the light of how it served someone else. And facts that readers supply are small gems of unique and useful information. It is all about sharing.Thank you for providing this channel for ideas.

Matt Diver's article,"A life inspired by the Basotho" (December 29), echoed my own experience. As a "child of the Woodstock era," I was also seeking a life less materially oriented after I graduated from college and found from college and found myself serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Swaziland (not all that far from Lesotho, where Matt was). Like him, my goal was to help make the world a better place.During my years there, I experienced both great challenges and great joys, which brought me closer to God. One important lesson was that "church" wasn't the physical building six hours away, but was right there with me.Thanks for the memories.
