'As I was reading the Christian Science Bible Lesson for Thanksgiving 2004, I came across these passages in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy: "As aforetime, the spirit of the Christ, which taketh away the ceremonies and doctrines of men, is not accepted until the hearts of men are made ready for it".
Even if the most trusted family and friends forsake us, spiritual solutions hold out the promise of lasting companionship and joy.
