Turning to God brings quick healing of infection

Where I live in Baguio City, in the Philippines, not all the roads are paved and there are no proper footpaths for people to walk on. When I travel from my house to work each day, I have to walk through grass up a steep hillside track and wait on the side of the road for a public utility jeep—or jeepney—to come along. My feet get quite dirty and dusty. So, each month I like to have a professional pedicure.

One day after work I went to a rather old and rugged beauty shop to have this done. The next day one of my toes became inflamed and swollen. I couldn't wear my shoe comfortably or walk properly.

I was very upset. Once before I'd had a similar experience after visiting a different beauty shop. On that occasion my foot had been so painful that I had become afraid. I also remember being angry with the pedicurist, feeling that it was her fault that my toe had become infected. Although I prayed then, it had taken two weeks for the swelling to go down and for my toe to return to its normal size.
