Years of suffering left behind
To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, today is big with blessings." When I first read those words from Mary Baker Eddy's book Science and Health (p. vii), little did I know of the impact they would have on my life.
It all started at the age of 44, when I found myself in a county jail once again. Up to this point in my life, I thought of myself as a loser.
A few days after my arrest I was walking around in the lower section of the cellblock I was assigned to, when I noticed a man waving his arms from the cell in which he was locked down. It looked as though he was trying to get someone's attention, so I looked around to see who it was. No one was paying any attention to him. Then, to my surprise, he pointed his finger right at me and motioned me to come over to him.
