How I found HEALTH and HEALING
IT WAS ALMOST 20 YEARS AGO that I had kidney trouble for which I'd been operated on several times. I'd had kidney stones removed, and was told that I would have to live with that condition because it was hereditary and my grandmother had it. I also had been diagnosed with very bad sinusitis and had been diagnosed with some spots on my lungs, which I was told could develop into tuberculosis.
One morning, I woke up with a very sore throat. I couldn't speak at all. So when I went to the office where I was working in a temporary job, I had to write down what I wanted to say. That day, I tried everything warm, such as soup and cups of tea, to soothe my throat, but there was just no change.
Suddenly, it occurred to me that there was a Christian Science Reading Room just a couple of minutes away from my place of work. Since I had never been there before, I decided to visit it and see what it was like. For the first time I picked up a copy of Science and Health.
