Prayer heals arm injury
Originally published in Der Christian Science Herold
In my bedroom there is a massive double sofa-bed with a large drawer underneath for storing things away. This sofa-bed is hinged and can be adjusted so that one side flips up to form the back of a couch.
When I was putting up the back of the couch one day, a towel got stuck in the hinges. When I pulled on the towel, the whole bed moved, and in a split second the bed folded down, pinning my arm, up to the elbow. My first thought was, "This is not true! This can't be true!"
I was alone in the apartment and couldn't get either to the door or to the phone. I kept feeling the impulse, "You must rise up!" I called for help, but no one heard me. Finally I cried to God, "Only You, Father, can help me. And You are all-powerful!"
