God is so near
A number of years ago I was sitting in my dorm room in Great Britain. I was a long way from home, my finances were low, and I wasn't feeling well. A good friend had been praying for me. But both mentally and physically, I felt worse than ever.
I was glad someone was praying for me, but I just didn't know what to do. Sitting on my bed, in a mixture of despair and yearning, I said to God, "Father, what do I do now?" My hymn book was beside me, and I picked it up and opened it at random. I looked down and read these words:
