A visit to African Enterprise's headquarters in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa
'God is great'
A few months ago, Mbulelo Hina, of African Enterprise (AE), was leading a prayer service in a small Apostolic Faith mission church in an impoverished quarter of the city of El Minya in Egypt, when an eight-year-old boy was carried in. The boy's grandmother asked Hina to pray for him.
"At first, I was so surprised," says Hina, "that I didn't know what to do or what to say. I was still learning the culture of the country and was using an interpreter to help me reach the people. The wonderful words I wanted to speak to the boy just didn't come to me.
"So, I was quiet. I listened. And then I prayed aloud, 'Lord, whatever it is that is afflicting this child of Yours, heal him. Heal him, Lord, of whatever sickness he has.' That was all I said. I continued to pray silently for a while, then I closed the service, and we went back to our hotel.
