YOUR LETTERS
A family friend's 12-year-old great-granddaughter, Stacy, had to undergo back surgery. I gave my friend the recent children's Sentinel (March 18), a paperback copy of Science and Health, other recent issues of the Sentinel, and the children's Herald of Christian Science.
My friend called to tell me that her great-granddaughter had come through the surgery beautifully. Stacy said she loved reading the Sentinels and kept repeating to herself all the way into surgery that God was with her and would never leave her, and that He was caring for her.
When my friend visited Stacy following the surgery, she exclaimed, "I just love what I'm learning about God! You know, Grandma, I was thinking, the doctor comes in and then leaves me, and my mom is here but she leaves sometimes to go eat and whatever. But God never leaves me."
