'Where does my light shine brightest?'
Nashville music producer Dave Pelton talks about the industry.
The first song Dave Pelton wrote for his wife Maggie reduced her to tears—on the dance floor, at their wedding. The song, "Waltz Into My Life," had been a well-kept secret.
"Maggie had put me in charge of the music for the wedding," explains Dave, "so it was easy to pass the song along to the band. They learned it and got almost as excited as I was about this first performance. It really came across great.
"The leader of the band announced that it was a song I had written for my wife, and to a chorus of approval we took to the floor. Maggie was emotionally overcome, but seemed to have a pretty good time dancing, even though she kept insisting she really wanted to listen to the words of the song."
