Walking away from injury
Two winters ago, on the day before a cheerleading competition, I hurt my ankle very badly. I couldn't walk, so I sat down and prayed. My coach thought it might be broken, so I prayed to understand that nothing in God's care could be out of place.
My mom told me God knows no accidents. She also reminded me how Christ Jesus healed a lame man with the words, "Rise, take up thy bed, and walk" (John 5:8). This comforted me, and my ankle quickly started to get better. The next day I was able to go to support my squad at the competition, and all of them wanted to support me as well—they all prayed for me before they went out to compete.
Within two days, I was walking freely without pain. I was well so quickly that my teammates almost didn't believe I'd been hurt at all!
