Infection nullified by prayer
While I was working at a printing company, I cut my finger on a piece of paper, but did not notice it until it began to throb and hurt. Within a few days my finger was seriously infected.
I asked a Christian Science practitioner to pray for me, and the practitioner encouraged me to join him in thinking about the Ten Commandments as a basis for increasing our understanding of God's healing power.
The pain lessened over the next few days. When the pain stopped, however, there was a burning sensation that seemed almost as painful. This, too, was quickly healed. Shortly after that, I woke one morning to find that the wound on my finger had opened and started to drain. The small gash healed quickly, and there was no period of recuperation.
