It was a beautiful autumn afternoon, and I was looking forward to visiting a friend. As I rounded the corner of my apartment building to go to my car in the parking area, a strong gust of wind picked me right up off my feet and lifted me up into the air. I landed on my left side with my arm under me.
As I lay there stunned and gathering my thoughts, a friend who lives in the complex came by. Noticing my situation, he placed my purse under my head and went inside to get two maintenance men. They gently lifted me up and helped me to my car as I asked them to. They urged me to return to my apartment, but I felt that I should carry out my plan.
