Never out of God's protection
We were enjoying a wonderful day of skiing with family and friends at Breckenridge, Colorado, when I took a tumble and crushed my outstretched thumb.
I immediately began to pray. This is the thought that came to me: "Whatever is governed by God, is never for an instant deprived of the light and might of intelligence and Life" (Science and Health, p. 215).
Right away, I refused to go along with the idea that an accident could affect my well-being, which was spiritual. I picked myself up and followed the others down the mountain. Remembering that I could never fall out of or be separated from God's guidance, protection, and care helped me combat the pain.
