Living at Number 23
Home is where God is—and where you are.
'I've moved many times and had a variety of homes, including an apartment on the thirteenth floor of a tower block and a three-hundred-year-old thatched cottage.
There is one place, however, that's special to me. It overlooks beautiful green fields and a river runs close by. I call it Number 23. It's especially good to be there when things get tough. It's a refuge, a sanctuary, a place of comfort and healing. It never fails to inspire and uplift me. What I'm talking about is the twenty-third Psalm, and I think of it as my spiritual home. Who could resist living beside the green pastures and still waters the psalm describes so eloquently?
This psalm speaks to the heart and conveys a peace and serenity that's the very essence of home. It instantly enfolds the reader in an abiding sense of God's love and of our innate wholeness and completeness, found only in Him.
