I needed answers
WHILE I was growing up, there was just one thing I wanted to do on Sunday mornings: sleep late. I loved to sleep in.
My parents had other ideas for me. Although they were of different religions, they thought it would be good for me to go to Sunday School. So off I was sent every Sunday morning. And every Sunday I protested. This went on for years.
Although a lot of my friends also went to religious instruction of various kinds, I was the only one going to a Christian Science Sunday School. There we met in small groups and learned Bible stories (I remember that many of them were surprising to me). We learned that God is our Mother and our Father. We also learned that God is everywhere, that He is good, that He is Spirit and makes us in His likeness.
