Prayer restores normal functioning
Thanksgiving was a wonderful day with our family—a beautiful church service, great dinner, special camaraderie. As we were saying our good-byes, I felt a strong current down my spine. I thought that this must be what lightning feels like. I didn't mention it to anyone, but went right to bed when we arrived home. When I woke up enough to be coherent, I found that I had slept for almost three days. I was not in pain or even uncomfortable. I had simply slept.
During the week that followed I lost a great deal of weight and was still not eating.
