Child's prayers bring quick healing
One day at school, while I was in the third or fourth grade, I had an upset stomach to the extent that I didn't think I could retain my food. I was on the playground with my friends at either recess or lunch break. I left my friends and found a spot outside where I could be alone. I fervently stated to myself "the scientific statement of being" as given by Mary Baker Eddy in Science and Health (see p. 468). I was healed immediately and went on about my business, completing the school day as I did on any other day.
I was healed immediately.
I had many other healings as a child for which I am thankful to God, to my parents, and to Christian Sci ence practitioners who helped me over the years. However, the above healing was the first one where I relied solely on my own understanding of God and man, as taught in Christian Science.
I am now grown and have grown children of my own who had healings while growing up, solely through reliance on Christian Science.
