Help when child is choking
I first walked into a Christian Science church two weeks before the birth of Jenna, my second child. Coming from a family of nurses—and I was a registered nurse at the time—I found the quiet atmosphere and the two quotations on the front wall of the church to be thought-provoking.
One quotation was from the Bible: "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matt. 11:28). The other was from Science and Health: "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need" (p. 494).
After the service, friendly people greeted me. I was eager to understand Christian Science and to read everything I could about it. I started to attend church services regularly and enrolled my two-year-old daughter, Crystal, in Sunday School.
