Prayer heals back injury
Over the years, I have had many healings through applying the truth I've learned from studying Christian Science. I've had healings of severe burns, fractured bones, and skin irritations.
One time I hurt my lower back when tobogganing with friends. My husband, who was not a Christian Scientist, had me promise to go to a doctor to have the damage diagnosed. X-rays showed a fracture in the lower backbone. The doctor could offer me only painkillers and/ or surgery. This happened on a Sunday, and on the following Wednesday I was to begin conducting the services as First Reader in our branch church.
I called a Christian Science practitioner to pray with me, and I prayed diligently to realize God's always-present goodness and my perfect wholeness as His daughter. There was no more pain. I was able to move as needed at the Wednesday testimony meeting, but the healing was not complete for another few days.
