Full recovery from a foot injury

I was putting a heavy garden hose away for the winter. On one end was a pulsating sprinkler with a very sharp metal end. While I was carrying the hose, this end came loose and hit me directly below the ankle bone. My first reaction was, "Wow! Wow!" Then, I realized that in truth I was the child of God and kept on working in the yard. By the time I had finished my chores, however, I was limping. In the evening, I was favoring the foot greatly. And by the time I crawled into bed, I couldn't move my toes or my foot.

I began to pray the Lord's Prayer with more inspiration than I have ever had before. Then, a message came, "Pray with what you've been learning about your spiritual preexistence." For several weeks, I had been thinking about the fact that, in reality, I have no beginning or ending—only everlasting unity with my heavenly Father, who is the only creator. I have forever existed at one with Him.

Jesus said, "Before Abraham was, I am" (John 8:58). And I recalled reading, "Beloved, now are we the sons of God" (I John 3:2).
