Dear Sentinel,

One night while I was sleeping, I kept getting awful nightmares. When I woke from my sleep, I was scared. I fell back asleep, thinking the nightmares would just vanish, but they didn't. That's when it occurred to me that I had to do more than just fall back asleep. I had to turn to God for a real answer. I asked myself if God would ever put bad thoughts in my thinking, and, of course, the answer was no. I prayed to know this, and I prayed to know that I was protected from things that would scare or harm me. Beside my bed I have a verse from Psalms that says, "I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety" (The New King James Version, Ps. 4:8). Knowing this, I fell back asleep, and the nightmares did vanish.
