Lesson from a mountain lake

Here it stands. Fed by glaciers. Its waters blue as the sky. Looking as clear as the brightest spring morning. This lake, high in an Alpine mountain range, is a jewel. To me, it is saying, "See, in God's universe—where you stand—everything is pure, everything is beautiful, everything is permanent."

How old is this lake? No, this is definitely the wrong question. This lake does not have age, regardless of what the geologists might say. This lake represents everything that is ageless. Looking at it, we come to the conclusion that there is only beauty, strength, and permanence here.
