Prayer restores a broken marriage

Although I knew that there was a lot of tension in our home, I was still somewhat taken aback when my husband told me that he was unhappy and wanted a divorce. He proceeded to move out, leaving me and our three children in a great state of emotional and financial disarray.

At first, I really struggled with how to pray about the situation. I was angry, and I felt tremendous guilt, sorrow, loss, sadness, failure, and embarrassment, as well. My parents had divorced when I was young, and I never intended for my children to have that experience.

The chapter "Marriage" in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy was a great source of comfort and inspiration to me during this time. Through various means the children's and my needs were met. I obtained employment that not only provided us with income but also with much-needed structure.
