Torn ligaments quickly healed
Some number of years ago, I was enjoying a day off from work by skiing in New York State. I was a member of an advanced class of skiers, and we were practicing jump turns under the direction of a ski school instructor, who was leading the way down the mountain. During one of these turns, I made an incorrect move and fell, ending up facedown in the snow. The class gathered around and were trying to be helpful while awaiting the ski patrol to take me down the mountain. I was praying, also, as I was in great pain. As I prayed, the thought came to me that if the other members of the class and the instructor could carefully lift me upright, I would be able to ski down the mountain. They were able to stand me up, and I carefully, and with a lot of prayer, skied down the mountain. At the bottom I went inside the lodge and prayed some more.
I returned to my flying duties in less than ten days.
