Skin condition and impaired vision healed

Over the years I have enjoyed the testimonies in the periodicals and have gained so much inspiration from them that I feel it is time to share experiences of mine and hope that others may benefit from them.

About thirty years ago, the skin on one of my hands became inflamed and broken out so that I needed to wear rubber gloves when doing dishes and other household work. I was a substitute teacher at the time, so I covered the area with a bandage during the day. I sought treatment from a Christian Science practitioner to aid my own prayer to see myself as God's perfect reflection.

As time went by the bandages became larger, and other teachers began to ask questions. One day when I was very discouraged, I picked up Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy and opened it. These words stood out to me: "Man is the expression of God's being" (p. 470). It was as if a light had been turned on. How could I, as God's image, have something so unlike perfect God? I could see that this claim was a lie, a false belief, about my real being. In a few days all evidence of the condition had completely disappeared. I am so very grateful for this healing proof of God's ever-present care and for the improved spiritual understanding I gained.
