Raising children? God has already paid the bill
"When I faced a growing fear that I couldn't provide my children everything I thought they needed, I felt I was failing as a mother."
WHEN I FACED a growing fear that I couldn't provide my children everything I thought they needed, I felt I was failing as a mother. This panicked feeling didn't subside until I turned to God for some answers. As I reached out to Deity, in the same spirit that a toddler lifts its arms to a parent, I remembered the phrase "My ransomed soul He leadeth." It's from a hymn in the Christian Science Hymnal (No. 330). The first two verses read:
The King of Love my Shepherd is,
Whose goodness faileth never;
I nothing lack, for I am His
And He is mine forever.
