Prayer results in academic excellence and physical healing

When I was a full-time senior at a university, times were tight so I had three part-time jobs. An important examination was scheduled, and I had not had time to study. I had a free period just before the exam, however, so I went to the large lecture hall where it was to be given with the expectation of reviewing course notes beforehand. In front of the seat I took were a group of students with a student proctor who questioned them on course material. I listened, stunned, becoming more frightened with each question. I knew none of the answers. Not one. Instead of staying there and becoming further intimidated, I quickly moved to the other side of the hall, realizing that it was imperative that I turn completely to God and pray.

What I pulled from the notebook was not the course notes, but a pamphlet containing articles on Christian Science. The first article I read included a discussion of supply that helped me see that I had what I needed-a supply of answers, of ideas, of God-directed action. As the meaning of what I was reading sank in, there came a growing, glowing realization that it was utterly impossible for me to be separate from Mind, God-that all Mind had was mine.

The exam included pages of all kinds of questions. When I finished and stood up, everyone else was still writing. Since I was usually among the last to finish, I sat down and reviewed the answers.
